Twice over the weekend, police officers were sent to hospitals after their cars were struck during traffic stops alongside Interstate 70 in north St. Louis County.
Neither officer was seriously hurt, and both drivers were arrested, but police say the incidents highlight the routine danger of traffic stops and the importance of Missouri’s decade-old “move over” law designed to protect police by the roadside.
