Tulsa Police Officers Injured in Alcohol Related Crash

TULSA, Oklahoma — Police believe alcohol may have played a role in a crash that injured two Tulsa Police officers Tuesday night.

The crash happened in the 5800 block of East Pine Street about 9:15 p.m.

Police said the two officers were driving west on Pine Street when their unmarked car was hit by a vehicle driving the opposite direction.

Police said the driver of the other vehicle was trying to turn north on Kingston Avenue when they struck the officers’ car almost head-on.

Tulsa Police Captain Dave Roberts said the two officers were taken to the hospital with “minor injuries.”

Police suspect the driver of the other vehicle may have been drinking and said the driver was taken in for a blood-alcohol test.

The officers names have not been released.
