New York City dwellers might see a new, green police car patroling their streets. The New York City Police Department will soon add 50 Chevolet Volts to their official fleet.
The NYPD will add these 50 Chevy Volts to the 70 other electrically-driven vehicles in their fleet. The police department does not intend to use there cars for high speed chases. The Volts will inisitally be used by traffic enforcement agents who search the NYC streets to write parking tickets.
