SAN ANTONIO – The flag at the San Antonio Police Department flies at half-staff after a devastating loss. Officer Stephanie Brown, 27, died after her patrol car was struck by a wrong way driver early Tuesday.
The accident happened around 2:00 a.m. Officer Brown was responding to a possible ‘officer in trouble’ call when she was hit by a wrong-way driver. Investigators say Brown was traveling south on I-35 near McCullough when a 31-year-old man driving the wrong way at a high rate of speed slammed his silver SUV into her patrol car.
