Kentucky Pursuit Lasts 3 Hours For Speeding

CBS/AP) Police in western Kentucky pursued a traffic law violator, at times at high speed, for three hours before catching him.

When Paducah police, McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies and Kentucky State Police troopers finally stopped Darin Tisdal on Thursday, he was cited on a variety of felony and misdemeanor offenses, reports The Paducah Sun.

During the pursuit in the Paducah area Thursday, school bus drivers were told to park their buses for the safety of the students, according to the Sun.

The blue lights came on after a deputy clocked the 24-year-old Tisdal speeding.

Sheriff Jon Hayden says dispatchers were getting calls about every 10 minutes about a reckless driver and police pursued the silver Honda several times over the next few hours until spike strips blew all four tires.

There were no injuries.
