On Friday morning, deputies investigated a previous crash on Interstate 80 near Oxford, Iowa, and parked their cars on the side of the road.
A police reports say 45-year-old Dana Miller was slowing down while he approached the crash scene, when a semi rear-ended his truck, sending him flying off the road and into one of the patrol cars, KWQU reports.
The incident was caught on a second car’s dash-cam, and Iowa State Patrol posted the video on its Facebook page.
The patrol car that was hit suffered some damage, but neither the officers nor Miller was seriously hurt, Iowa State Patrol reports.
