The Boynton Beach police officer who crashed her patrol car Tuesday — injuring herself and two officers riding with her — has crashed police cars while on duty twice before since joining the force in 2006, internal-affairs records show.
Officer Rachel Loy, 27, was racing to back up fellow officers chasing three burglary suspects when she crashed into a concrete pole about 8:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of North Seacrest Boulevard, police said.
