The new 2013 Ford Police Interceptor Pursuit Sedan and Interceptor Utility have exceeded the established performance criterion in stringent testing by the Michigan State Police. The new generation Ford Police Interceptors were validated as Pursuit-Rated by the Michigan State Police on September 20, 2011. The testing was conducted in competition against current generation Chevrolet Tahoe PPV Utility and Dodge Charger Pursuit where the Ford Police Interceptor Utility excelled in the 0-60 acceleration, braking and handling over the two day testing. The Ford Police Interceptor not only outperformed the Tahoe PPV but held its own against both the Charger Pursuit and the Ford Police Interceptor Pursuit.
